Check out Scoop It - Outdoor Education to view my scoops.
My Learning Object
A learning object is a digital collection of content, activities, and assessments based on a learning objective. While my learning object with Scoop. It does not focus on one specific curriculum expectation, it provides knowledge and tips for educators to incorporate outdoor education into the learning experiences. Similar to the "Pin It" button for Pinterest, the Scoop. It site allows users to scoop articles, videos, blogs, and tweets onto a created topic page via a "Scoop It" button. Teachers can use this site to lead students to online materials for a research topic; students can use this tool to organize their research findings onto one page. Since the pages are open to public viewing, teachers are able to look at students' scoops in order to help guide them through the research process. In this way, teachers can also approve the sources as credible or not before students move to the final step. The opportunities are endless.
